Hi from Megan!

Hello Everyone! My name is Megan and I am one of the two daughters of the Lilo and Meg company. I have just graduated from high school, and I am moving on to college. I will be attending the University of Portland to major in Nursing and minor in Integrated Health Studies.

To sum up my life, I’ve always been curious about what I put into my body and on my skin. When I was young, my family taught me to eat as organic and natural as possible. I decided to be bold and go vegetarian when I was a freshman in high school, and I stuck with it. I’ve always had a love for animals and I watched a documentary in health class about the cost of producing meat and how the animals are treated. To say that I was mortified, is an understatement. So overnight, I went vegetarian, and I have felt healthier since the moment I started.

I educated myself the best I could. I wanted to know what I put in my body, as well as on it. As most teens do, I struggled with acne. I had tried all kinds of remedies and nothing seemed to work. I started to think that the products I had tried may have been more harmful than helpful. About this time, my mom was diagnosed with a brain tumor and had to have surgery. Thank God it was not cancerous, but this got us all thinking.

We may try to eat healthy, but what about all the other day to day things we put on our bodies? We made a commitment to change our beauty routines to one that is as organic as possible. Our first task, was face cleaner, moisturizer and toner. My face has never felt cleaner and healthier. The idea of going all natural is a concept that many of us want to try.  Although some may think this is an impossible task, we at Lilo & Meg are doing the hard work for you. The more natural your products are, the healthier your skin will feel, it really is that simple.
